I have posted on the Google Mobile Help Forum as well..twice.., but find I get more help in the Android Forums,

For the past few days, the Data Sync symbol is in the status bar constantly. When I go to Menu>Settings>Accounts and Sync>Google>Sync Contacts, the Syncing symbol is rotating and every 10 seconds or so at the bottom of the screen I will get a red excalamation point and note that states "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." I then cancel sync. What is going on? The one thing I can say is that constantly trying to sync drains battery life VERY quickly!! Please help....
