Help Google Talk Authentication Error and Error Retrieving Information from Server

I am attempting to setup my old phone as a tablet for my child to play some games on when we are in the car. We had this on another phone and it got dropped. Now I am attempting to setup the same phone HTC EVO 4G LTE and I get all these errors.

It has had a factory reset and I will do it again but it doesn't seem to fix the issues. I have done it several times. I am getting 2 errors and I have tried everything I can find on a help forum for both and nothing seems to help.

1) Google Talk Authentication Error
2) Error Retrieving Information from Server RPC: S-7: AEC-0

It is so frustrating. I have tried adding another account so 2 accounts are listed. I have tried clearing all the caches. I cannot get it to connect to my computer I just get errors. I don't get it.

I cannot download anything which defeats the purpose.

I couldn't download from Google Play Store & also had Google Talk Authentication Error. Solution: In google Gmail, change Hangouts to "Revert To Old Chat" setting. The downloads now work and aslo don't get the Google talk errors anymore.

I had trouble with Google Talk Authentication Error, and I couldn't use Google Play Store to download. I use Android 2.3.4.-very old. I downloaded the version Google Play Store 5.0 something apk and installed it. Everything works fine with my phone now. The first time that I tried the download, it wouldn't take. The 2nd time, everything opened and installed correctly. It fixed both issues!
