I don't know how many of you use Google Talk (or just 'Talk' on the DI), but I have noticed something that is odd, and I don't know if it's just me, or if I have a setting issue. I had it loaded on my BB Storm prior to me switching to the DI.
When I don't have Talk opened, and my wife sends me a message, I get the notification sound and vibration, as well as an icon in the notification area and the LED flashes. That works as advertised.
However, when I have the conversation open, or have Talk opened, when she sends me a message, no notification sound or vibration happens, and only an icon in the notification area and LED display. If I set the phone down during a conversation, and she responds, I don't know she did unless I physically pick up the phone, unlock it and look at the notification area or see the LED flashing.
On the BB version of Google Talk, it notifies you whether you have it open or not. I haven't noticed if it does the same thing when the Messages are open and I get a SMS/MMS, or when I get an email if the Gmail app is open.
Is this an Android quirk, a Talk quirk, or a me quirk???
