Google Theory might work out

ok so, I installed Google voice and made an aco**** on my phone. On my browser i have a plugin that allows me to just click any number off of a website and it will ring my phone with google voice, and then when i answer the phone Google Voice will dial the number i intended to call.

My thought was, Am I calling, lets say my mom, From MY phone or Google Voice. How will verizon see this? I went in my records and found the exact time and day of the call and found the Google Voice was the number that was registered, not my mom for that call.

This means, if you are like me and have a limited Minutes plan, 750, and you have the 5 friends and family. You can put your Google Voice number ON your 5 friends and family and basically make calls through Google voice for free to anyone anywhere unlimited in the continental US....

Thats freaking AWESOME! why pay for an unlimited plan!!!!! you can just use google voice!!!!

can anyone else confirm this? Because you can also have your Phone call people using GV from the actual phone.. meaning again... unlimited calls if your GV number is on your 5 friends and family!

I have been doing this for a couple of years now. even on out going calls, I call my GV #, then enter the # I want to dial and it connects through. all for free.

One catch though is that on long calls, GV will randomly disconnect you and not allow you to reconnect again for a few hours.

This usually isn't a problem unless you're on a marathon conference call (I do this several times a week for work).

Wish I could get voice on my gnex, works on my computer through gmail.

Kind of confusing, but that is not Google voice, that is Google Talk. You can get Google voice, through your nexus, sign up for a number through voice and go through the install on your phone. It will give you an option to make calls with Google voice or ask. Unfortunately you can't integrate your existing number or send mms yet like on sprint.

Same here... my last major conf call was 18 hours long, wheeeeee!

I use a total of 17 minutes in my previous billing cycle (actually 2 cycles ago, i didn't look last month)....who uses their phone to actually talk to people nowadays?

well.. some people dont have house phones. So, you need to call your phone company, doctors, restaurant, Six flags for tickets, friends, girlfriend, your mother, your bank, your job, call google, call samsung

there are a lot of reasons to use your phone

I used to use the F&F along with GV for all my calls. I've since dropped my calling plan down and now use the built in internet calling feature to make VOIP calls. Overall it is cheaper and easier for me. I still have my minutes if I am in a very weak data area and all of those calls still go through GV, but since I am on Wifi a lot of the time it isn't an issue.

ya I was joking around about not using a phone to call people nowadays, though I don't have a house phone either.....nearly all communication is via email and text for me, that includes work. But...in your example (just for fun)

phone company: no need with the my Verizon app
Doctors: I go like once a year...maybe
restaurant: that is probably 10 minutes of my 17 the other month
tickets: everything can be bought online
friends: txt
GF: txt or video call for ummmmm well....nevermind
family: that is why facebook exists, I spoke with them for the first 20 years of my life....that's good enough
bank: if my bank doesn't have online stuff....I need a new bank
job: its all email my friend, and I work multi million dollar projects...noone speaks to one another anymore.

I tried getting voice with no luck, saysmy # cant be verified.

when you make an account, have google assign you one.. then when it asks for numbers to FORWARD to.. thats where you mobile number goes in
