I tried to get one on ebay and they removed it for violations. But, I found a site that sells them for 5 bucks and they sent the invite within 5 minutes.

I signed up for Google Voice on my .edu account and got an extra invite because I accidentally clicked it twice. So here is an extra one for whoever wants it.

So, if you want GV all you have to do is have a 2.1 based rom, download GV app from the market, and go here

And set it up. Super easy, no invite required. I just set up mine!
To get your number, set it up with your current phone # then when you open voice on your pc Go to phones (where your # is listed on the top of the screen) and it will prompt you to get a #. Good luck!!!

If have an email account with a .edu address (students and teachers) you can get a Google Voice invite in 24 hours by signing up here. It works. I've been waiting for months for an invite, but I got one overnight through this site.

If you don't have a Google Voice account yet, and have been anxiously awaiting an invite, the first to respond to this post with an email address will get the invite....
Oh and just so you know, choose to set up your account with the Google Number, because you will get all of the benefits of free SMS, Visual VM, etc., and you don't have to use Google Voice as your phone number....I was confused about this at first, so hopefully you won't have to be...Enjoy....Google Voice is sweet!
