Has anybody done this and not gotten an invite? I still have a .edu address from when I was in school and have submitted it twice now with no luck. Was thinking maybe they just hate my school? Oh well, if any of you do get one and could pass me an invite it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I never got an invite to my .edu address, either. I waited 3 days and submitted again. *shrug*

I don't know if this works but you can sign up at Australia Mail - Please Log In For A Free Australia Email Account to get an @australia.edu email.

I doubt it, it is for US only.

Question - if you dial or receive a call with Google voice to/from another Verizon customer, does it still count as free mobile to mobile or come out of your minutes?

That would not count as mobile to mobile.

Google Voice Invites, Google Voice New Accounts, Google Voice Invite Links And Google Voice Invitation. Does work and costs only 5 dollars. Not bad if you are sick of waiting. It does not give you the option to send out 3 additional invites when you do this method though.

Actually it seems the price increased to $10. Again only useful to people sick of waiting since you are essentially paying for a free service.

I can't believe that they're exploiting the service like this. I'm sure that it's strictly illegal. They should get sued for every penny that they make off of that scam.

I got mine last night but I don't have the option to send out invites to others, I looked all over my Google voice pages but I don't see it. If it comes up I'll definitely hook you guys up.

I'm too old and they didn't have e-mail when I was in school, hence no .edu address. If any of you lucky onces that have a .edu address would like to share one of your new invites with an old-timer who's desparately trying to get caught up on technology, I'd be greatly appreciated.

Got mine about 6 hours after applying with my edu address.
