Google is now giving out Google Voice invites for students. Just enter you student address ending in "edu" and receive an invite within 24 hours. For all those of you who haven't been able to get an invite yet.

It worked for me, try again. Remember it has to be a school email address (ends with .edu)

I guess I am one of the unlucky ones as I am approaching the 24 hours mark with no love from google voice still. About how long did it take you guys from when you submitted you email addresses to get your invites? Hour? 8 hours? 24 hours?

It arrived almost exactly 24 hours later. For a while I didn't think it was coming.

Hmmm. We'll see if this works. I'm no longer a student, but my university gives out alumni e-mail accounts in the format name@alumni.college.edu. I entered it in and it said I would get an invite within 24 hours. I'll report back when it works.

Okay guys. IT WORKS =] Got the invite today around 11:30am.

Requested invite two nights ago, and again last night.

Remember, you need a school email account, HAS to end with .edu
