Hello All,
I'm currently awaiting the Samsung Galaxy Note II to come out later this month (I hope) and I wanted to do a little bit of research on integrating the "hack" or "old" version of Google Voice into it.
For those of you who don't know, the older Google Voice setup used to make all the calls using the same dial-out number and the same dial-in number (they are two different numbers, the dial-in number is your Google Voice number). This was REALLY convenient if you had a Friends and Family package because all of your minutes were essentially free as long as you (and other people) were using the appropriate numbers, however Google pushed an update for Google Voice and the new version made the dial-out number different for every call which shafted the Friends and Family benefit. In order to get around it, I had to search far and wide and find the older version of Google Voice which I then installed (replacing the new version) and everything was back to the good ol' days.
So I did some research to try to find out if such a version still existed for Android. Well sure enough, there is one but it was for Gingerbread. Does anyone know if this app would work with Jelly Bean? Or is there another way to modify the current Google Voice so that it has the same dial-out number?
Thank you!
