Google Voice is so slow

lately after updates google voice is slow to open. Sometimes it takes 5-10 seconds to open the app, and then the lag during typing is unbearable. When receiving messages while trying to type it will lag so badly the OS asks to kill it as if its unresponsive, and when I hit 'wait' it comes back.
This really sucks as I kind of depend on this app for all of my texts.
Any ideas?

I have found this lag, too, and uninstalled. If you updated to the latest laggy version, simply go to manage applications, select google voice and choose "Uninstall Updates". Otherwise there is a version on DroidLife.com which has the widgets and isn't laggy. That's the version I'm using right now.

I had to install version 4.1.19, until Google gets a better code update for the app.

Thats funny...I have the new GV app and have no lag at all... in fact, its faster than the previous one I had.
