Root Google Voice keeps updating

I want to keep Google Voice 3.4 b/c it uses one number for all my calls (which = free with Verizon's friends and family) instead of 4.x using different static numbers. How can I stop it from updating?

I keep deleting the 4.x .apk via Root Explorer and installing the 3.4 apk, but it's a pain.

Go into the market, select Google Voice and then at the top is a check box for Allow Automatic Updates. Make sure this is unchecked.
