google voice & no-US user?? how to setup?

eckndu

Lurker
i think google voice is US only, and Im canadian.

I use CALL PHONES FROM GMAIL (Google) to call canadian long distance.

then today I stump on this page which have all my call history:
http://www.google.com/voice#history

which make me believe somehow google voice = gmail call

then I try to check the google voice on htc desire, but it blocks during log-in, says "NOT SUBSCRIBED, your google account is not yet enabled for google voice. visit google.com/voice to sign up."
or do I have to add credit in order to subscribe??

go to your google account and look for google voice. If/once you have a google voice number, go into settings in google voice on your computer and select the phones tab.

It should list your google voice number then under it should be "forward to" and a list of phone numbers you've added. If there's nothing there add a phone, put in the number you want it to forward to, and check the box next to that number to forward.

there is no option for me to get a number:
