Google Voice Question

Hello, I have successfully set Google Voice with a Galaxy Nexus (running 4.1). When I use the phone to access my Google voicemail I am greeted with my recorded message instead being asked for my PIN. I did check the advanced settings under the Phones tab and "YES" is checked as the default for direct access. I can press the * key during the message and then enter my PIN but that is not how it was working earlier. Previously I could just call my number, enter the PIN and have direct control of my voicemail. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I have tried de-activating the re-activating the number as well.

Thanks for the response. I have tried toggling the settings but its made no difference. I never get prompted to enter my pin.
