Google Voice Search - No Way to Reset "Allow Search to Use Your Location"

When I first ran the Google Voice Search application that came with the latest OS update it asked me if I wanted to allow it to use my location data to assist with searches and I chose "No". 1 day later I want to reset this to "Yes" and there is no way to do it?

I called TMO and they told me I had to do a hard reset / reinstall the OS to fix this. Since this is TMO's default answer whenever they don't have one I am asking here.

You could try going to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Menu -> Filter -> All -> Voice Search -> Clear Cache or Clear Data. I'd recommend waiting a little while to see if some else chimes in saying that is a bad idea for some reason.

I did the same thing but I was able to re-enable it at...Settings > Privacy > Use My Location (for Google search results and other Google services)

When I first tried voice search a few minutes ago, I asked for "hotels" and it was listing hotels in California (I'm from Iowa). Once I enabled the Privacy setting, I did it again and it was listing local hotels.

I noticed I had voice search on my phone after it received OTA with 2.2. I started playing with the app and I asked it to find Liqour stores. I showed me a bunch of them all in and around New York City. I live in Central Texas. How do I get the app to recognize my current location? I saw that I could download voice search through the app market so I did. I then watched the video instructions that came with it. So I opened it up and said the following "Send Text to Ann...This is a test"

A small white square opened on my phone at the top left corner it said send text and underneath it to: and then under it message:

what was written after "message" was "and this is a test.

What am I doing wrong?
