Help google voice search

When i use my voice search option, i say text joey cell , hello how r u , send and it comes up exactly the way i say it, just all under the message area and nothing in the "to" area. what am i doing wrong. Checked updates, installed and reinstalled, coulnd't find any answers. Phone is all up to date.

2.1 htc sense
4.08.605.3 software

Doesn't work for me either. I gave up on the voice stuff almost immediately after trying it. Not relieable enough to even bother.

Haven't played with Siri yet, but my guess is it's light years better than the Google offering.
