Google Voice Status

Let me setup my question first.

I use google voice with my android phone in order to not have to pay any minute overages on my family plan.

The idea is that on my verizon plan, I have 10 family and friends numbers which are free. I have added my google voice outgoing number and my incoming number to these lists and so as long as I use google voice on my phone, I don't use any minutes.

Having said that, a few months ago, google voice got updated and it stopped calling the same number everytime. I made a backup of my old google voice number and I have kept it since then.

I wonder: has google voice changed since then? can you still set it to dial the same number? I'd be interested to upgrade if this was the case.

No, it hasn't changed back. I have been using Google Voice Callback, it's pretty good and gets you your free outgoing calls. There is a slight delay as it calls you back but it's worth it to me.

I use GV Callback as well...

Since the change, the access number changes made some methods obsolete.
