Help Google Wallet Available Today but how compatible is it with Note II on AT&T/Verizon?

Google Announced their revamped Google Wallet today:

I was finally able to download it to my Note II via the PLAY store this morning.

Here's the problem...

We know carriers like Verizon and AT&T have blocked Google Wallet in the past. I am not exactly certain what is still being blocked with this new release.

Are you able to store credit card numbers on the Note II in Google Wallet and just tap the phone at a nearby store to have the credit card number transferred to the scanner for purchases?

I would love to ditch my wallet entirely and have all my cards reside digitally on my phone.

Would appreciate some insight on what I can do and cannot do with Google Wallet while currently on AT&T (and for those on Verizon)

Is this only available in the US? I am in the UK and cannot see it in the play store.
