Google Wallet on ATT confirm PLS!

Anyone using the N5 on ATT..can you pls verify that google wallet works or doesnt work? Ive heard people say no and yes..but i remember having gthe galaxy nexus and google wallet worked perfectly on att..thks

I would imagine that it would work. The app comes natively on the phone and AT&T hasn't been able to stop it on any of the previous Nexus iterations.

Carriers don't have a say in wallet anymore.

Its built into the core OS with 4.4 and no longer requires the secure element, which is how ATT and Verizon could go without it before

Wallet doesnt work on ATT branded phones as you'd expect. the NFC function for example did not work on my ATT GS4. On the N5 it does work ... the tap to pay function loads correctly regardless of carrier.

cool that was the answer i was looking for..thks..i know att locked phones dont work on GW tap to pay..but long as N5's nfc tap to pay works using GW on att sim thats all that matters..thks again

Yeah just used it to pay for lunch. Awesome.. the google wallet app doesn't have to be running... the OS automatically launches it. Worked really quickly too.

I know it's an ATT thread, but can you use Wallet if you don't have a mobile data plan? I think you can, as the WiIF N7 would work, it just won't generate a receipt until you get connected again.
