Root Google Wallet Question

I've read that if it is rooted, Google Wallet says "Unsupported Device" or something because of the possible security issues. However, is that just like a warning and you can still use it, or does it stop working?

It won't work on a device that has been rooted, the security has been compromised or changed. If you have the $25 credit use it up before rooting.

I use Google wallet and not only I'm I rooted I'm on another ics rom too u have to go to the app and clear the data after u root and reload your data and u can use it while rooted and I'll provide shots in a lil bit

I've never had a problem with it and I always have the message, always rooted and rom'd. Using a galaxy nexus.
