I tried setting up Google Wallet on my phone (Galaxy Victory). It seems to work fine, but gives me a warning about my device being incompatible. When I click on the link attached to the warning, Google tells me I shouldn't use Wallet on this phone because of security features that were disabled.
Yes, I've rooted my phone to disable some of the stock bloatware, but I'm still running the stock rom it came with otherwise. My question is this: is the security warning put up by Google to scare me, or is there a real security concern using Wallet on my phone now that it's rooted? If there is a real concern, are there ways to make it more secure?
Has anyone else gotten Wallet to work for payment methods like Tap-to-Pay?
Thanks!
