Google+ warning!!!

Friendly warning to all....google plus app defaults to AUTOMATICALLY uploading ANY pics or vids you take after you install. Now it does go to a private folder, but it is VERY easy to ACCIDENTALLY post naked pics of your girlfriend onto your google plus page...BE WARNED!

I'm pretty sure it prompted me during initial setup of the app (initial login) whether I wanted to automatically upload any picture or videos which I said "No" to. I did try out the feature later on by clicking Menu->Settings->Instant Upload as well as the Instant Upload Settings and it worked perfectly. The immediate upload is beneficial as it makes it easier to share the photograph with your circles immediately or to your private album for you to decide later on which circle to share it with. I agree with your warning though about the use of the feature and the adverse consequences of the sharing selections made after the photograph is taken.

the default is NO, and is not easy, you need enter in the folder of your phone, mark the photos, click on share, pick the recipients, is not easy at all.

Yep, I noticed that same thing. I wasn't paying attention when I first install the app, but when I had taken a couple of photos and noticed they were going somewhere, I looked and found the button to disable it.

But as rbasusparky mentioned, it makes it a lot easier and more streamlined. And you can delete the photos on Google+ to boot.

Nice feature.

Phew! I opened up the thread thinking that it was something really scary! Thank goodness. I don't have anything to worry about since I will most DEFINITELY not be posting any naked pics of any girlfriend!

If you opt in it instantly uploads but is private. You have to share them. Thankfully all you will see is pics of my cat lol

I'm a terrible photographer so I disabled this- if I'd left it on, my Google+ would be full of pictures with my thumb partially obscuring the photograph :s I like the idea, though.

Just curious, if you opt in for the instant upload, is your pictures still store on your phone in the gallery? Another question, if you're on your computer, can you download the pictures that's uploaded to your private folder. I know it has something to do with Picasa (or whatever the new name is)
