Help Google Widget gets frozen on my screen...can't use or delete

I am using the Google widget that came stock with the phone. At various times, the widget has become stuck on my home screen and I can't remove it. I can even place other widgets or icons "behind" it - likes its not even there. Right now, it is sitting on top of my Facebook widget and covers the top part of the box - the "whats on your mind" text entry part.

How can I get rid of it?

That happened to me a few times. Not sure what I did to fix, but you could always just reboot the phone, that should clear it.

Just started happening to me also. You can delete it and add it right back, no need to reboot unless you want to. You can't select it from where its "stuck" at, you need to long press on the empty space where it was and drag it to the trash. That works for me anyways. Dont know whats causing it though.
