If you have acess and the people you want to invite have a gmail profile anyone can invite, add the email adress to your contacts on Gmail goto Circles in + add the persone to a circle, then goto a post on your wall and "share" with the individual and they will get access

make sure there google profile is active profiles.google.com

Nope but you do need a Google profile, its Web based, not sure if they will do an iOS app
