On top of my hompage I had Google opened ready to write and search; it has disappeared; how can I get this back; so much easier than opening up Google. Thanks
In your app drawer you should have a Google Search icon? Depending on the phone there are a couple of ways to a short cut to it onto your home page.
1- long press the icon and it will "vibrate" and as if by magic will appear on your home page under your finger ready to drag to the spot on the page you want. Normally if you long press an icon/shortcut on the home page you will then open the "trash bin" and then you can drag any unwanted icons into the bin (or remove button). This does not delete the app, just the shortcut.
2- menu > personalise > App (open any app with one tap) Scroll through the list until you find the Gsearch app; press it and it will appear on your home page.
If you start from homepage 2 then the shortcuts appear on homepage 2 and so on
If it was the widget you had on there just long press on the home screen go to widgets and click on the "search" option. It will add it back to your home screen.
