I'm running GB on my HTC Desire Z. HTC has no plans to provide an ICS update to this phone, so I will remain on it for the life of the phone. I have no desire to root it.

I am quite happy with GB. It works a little better than Froyo. The battery management is better and I have noticed an increase in battery life on GB compared to Froyo. The downside is that the Sense home screen can occasionally take a few to several seconds to load when you swich to the home screen from an app. It happens most often from the Market app.

There really isn't much that I would want from ICS that I do not have on GB. The only big thing is resizable widgets that I want. The Google+ widget is useless on Froyo. I have ICS on my Asus tablet and the Google+ widget is excellent. I set it to fill half the screen. On the other hand, I love the HTC Twitter widget. I use the full screen one. My tablet doesn't have access to it. I did find some widgets that was similar, but the HTC Twitter one is a bit better. Face unlock is handy on my tablet. I won't be able to use it on my phone as it does not have a front facing camera.

The gingerbread on my s2 is so smooth and fast I really don't think ICS will be any noticeable improvement. and I don't know of any features that 4.0 has that excite me very much.
(I tried out Dark Evolution ICS for a day or two with most of the features of the official release and could take it or leave it. This one had a few little glitches so I left it).

I am using GB on my Samsung Galaxy Fit, which originally came with Froyo. GB was an update via Kies. GB did make a lot of difference and I am quite happy with it. I have not bothered to root the phone but I did download Go Launcher EX with the ICS theme which seems to have given a fresh lease of life. I also downloaded Juice Defender - free version - which has massively helped with the battery on the phone.

On my tablet - Acer A500 - I recently got ICS pushed as an OTA update. While it is good and helped by taking care of the problems with HC, I don't find anything vastly spectacular - at least from an end user p.o.v. aside from the fact that I can use Chrome as my browser of choice.

As I see it therefore, GB works well for the moment but I am quite sure I would not like it on a tablet.

I had GB on my SGS2 and as per official upgrade thru Kies I upgraded to ICS.

Personally, I think GB was better...
1. The major irritant I see is, that from the call log, in ICS, you cannot access the contact list. In GB there was a 4th icon on top which could get you directly to the contact list. IN ICS you have to get out of the log and open the contact list separately thus many key strokes for a simple function.
2. The favorites are now in tile format. I think this takes too much space and thus you have to scroll down to find the correct contact.
3. One thing I have failed to understand, with so much of disc space available (I am using 10GB or 16GB available), why the call log is only a couple of days old. Why is it not possible to store a longer call log. Before I changed to Android, I was using the Nokia communicator where I was used to a virtually unlimited call log.
4. Similarly you could use the filter option on the communicator to filter the log or even the stored messages for specific contacts or time. Here you have none of these features even though this is supposed to be much advanced.
5. I have not seen any significant improvement in battery life
6. The data settings now include IPv6. This is good but the problem was the phone automatically switched to IPv6 whereas not many operators have implemented this. It took me 2-3days to understand why my data stopped after upgrading to ICS. Changing it back to IPv4 it worked.
7. I am yet to see the new data usage function (since I have not reached my limit). I was earlier using Onavo app for the purpose which was very efficient.
