I went to download updates this morning from Android Market. After downloading and installing three updates I get the conversioion to Google Play notice. After accepting it ...

The Android Market icon is not on my home page.
The Android Market widget is not on my Bionic.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks.

Curiously my Droid X still has Market ... my Droid X is WiFi only.

Google is pushing the new market/play out slowly. I'm not sure how it gets distributed, but it may be a while for all devices to get autoupdated.

On my Droid 3 it had me accept terms to Google Play this morning after I installed a few updates, but it's still called "Market" on the phone.

Why they couldn't call it Google Market rather than Google Play I do not understand - I think it's a dumb name, and I use it exclusively for productivity apps on my phone, so there is no "play" involved for me - but Google seems to be doing some dumb things lately.

I had just finished flashing a new ics rom when that updated and i couldnt find the market. I thought something went wrong when i flashed it. Until I realized it was called playstore, was freaking out for a little there heh.

agreed, Google Market would have been a better name that still separates it from exclusively Android OS. silly name.

I just love having the market icon link in my app drawer that is no longer valid........to get to the market now I have to scroll to find the Google play icon......

So stupid!..........Why didn't they utilize the same icon and make it a seamless transition?
