GoogleNews

Anyone know what's happened to the Google News app?. I am in the process of re-installing my apps after receiving a replacement Nexus 7 and my Google News app has disappeared. Its not in the play store and Google support have no clue either. I even had to send them a screen shot of my wife's Nexus 4 to prove to them that it ever existed. I can get to the site with chrome but that's not the point.

Welcome to the forums, rodders!
Is this the app you're talking about?

No - unless News is buried in the newstand somewhere this is not the app I'm looking for

Newsstand has replaced Google News or Currents. For the better IMHO.

If you go to news.Google.com you will see what I am looking for. I don't,t want to craft my own newspaper I just want to read it like I used to be able to do --and my wife still can on her nexus4. I guess I will have to use chrome
