Google's iTunes Equivalent

I've done a little research on this, with no luck. Basically... Does anyone know if Google is planning on, or is already working on a music management app (like iTunes). I use iTunes to sync up my iPod and manage playlists. I would LOVE to be able to use a Google product to manage playlists and sync songs to my Hero.

If Google is not planning on this, is there a third party app which can be used to sync my Hero to iTunes??

Google's all about cloud.

Highly unlikely in my opinion.

Unless they make a service such as spotify (again highly unlikely)
 
Hi,

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but i dumped iTunes for MediaMonkey a few weeks ago, and I can sync almost any PMP with it, including my Magic, and my iPod classic.

MediaMonkey is also incredibly faster than iTunes, probably because it does not have to create a proprietary database.

The only downside is that it does not sync videos (yet), and any game you may have purchased on iTunes.

Double twist is also good.

For use alongside iTunes.

It takes all your playlist from iTunes and allows you to put them on virtually any PMP.

It's good.
But i don't really have many playlists on iTunes as i use spotify mostly.

Wow! I just fell in love with Songbird. I had installed Songbird in the past, and wasn't too impressed. I figured I'd give it another chance and boy, am I glad I did.

Songbird is the answer for me!!

I've written an application for Android that helps solve this problem. If you are running Windows and iTunes, you should check it out.

Maybe I'm just a little too old school or maybe just a little too old, but I use Windows Explorer. I just open the card in one window and my music collection in another and transfer music files back and forth.

I do use MediaMonkey to alter my music's tags (along with MP3Tag), but manually transfer everything.
 
Well, I got all the music files to sync. I had that accomplished before using any other software. What I cannot do is get the playlists to move over so I can select a playlist and play only those songs. So right now all I can do is shuffle through ALL my songs -- Not just a single playlist.

:S confused...
 
I've used Windows Media Player 12 (with Windows 7) and it recognizes my Droid and syncs the songs. I switched to DRM free MP3 a while back, so not as many issues with getting the device licensed.
 
I use iTunes Agent... It's free, and you can still use iTunes to manage all your music and your phone will appear as a playlist in iTunes. Just drag what you want into that file and click 'sync'...
 
I wish I could get a program to sync both ways, automatically. I thought Media Monkey would do it, but no.

By this I mean, I could buy a song from Amazon MP3 on my Droid, and then next time I sync it puts that song in my library automatically.

I tried adding it to a playlist on the Droid (from the Droid), thinking maybe that synced playlist would sync back. But no.

I just move it manually using Windows. But it always feels like I'm forgetting something, the folder hierarchy or something.
 
I use double twist. It works great. There is even an a double twist app in the market place go check it out.
