I'll just sign that

cool and they're signed now?
About that...
I don't know what the hell that means LOL
I'm good with the graphics and what not. And no I'm not technologically dumb I just haven't looked into boot animation before this.

What does signing it do to it?
I know that it works.

i honestly dont know much about what signing them means either (other than its some sort of verification or something like that which tells the phone its safe and allows it to install/flash?), but from the previous posts in this thread people have said the flashable zips didnt work and were asking if they were signed or not...

I just know that I fixed what was wrong before (wrong compression and text file error) and that someone on reddit said it worked.

ah ok...oh i had a question, are these formatted for 720p or 1080p screens? i saw someone say some of the google logo was cut off and since i have a 720p screen and im content with my current marshmallow boot animation that is formatted for 720p im not even sure if i want to switch...

1080p screens.
But its a simple fix if you want to change it to a 720p screen.

(Also I fixed the height/width of the gif so it is actually 1080 x 1920 (portrait) not landscape.

Go into the text file (desc.txt) of the zip and change the 1080 to 720 and 1920 to 1280.

oh cool...but if i modify a text file in a flashable zip wont it have to be signed again? i know you know as much about this signing crap as me (LOL) so im just hoping someone else will chime in and let me know...or i could just try it and see

Good day, I just used in on my Nexus 5, and it's working, but I think it was kind of slow. Would increasing the frame rate in the desc.txt file speed it up? Thanks :)

im not 100% sure if this is the reason behind the slowness you're describing, but i found this thread that talks about a problem with a memory leak in the boot animation binary. i applied the fix in this thread and the marshmallow android animation i currently have is smooth as butter
