Gorilla Glass 3 already scratched

I'm always pretty careful with my phones, yet my Zmax Pro already has a faint scratch on the screen, about 1" long. This is despite me only owning it for a few weeks, being even more careful with it than I normally am, and it having more durable glass than any other phone I've owned. It's not a big issue really but it sure bugs me to have it there already when other phones I've had for years are still scratchless. Anyone else notice the screen scratching easily or am I the unlucky one?

OK did a little research and I don't think the glass itself is actually scratched, probably the oleophobic coating is nicked, still a pain but oh well.

I stopped putting screen protectors on my phones years ago. Gorilla glass feels great to the touch. In my opinion, screen protectors ruin the experience. No matter how good the protector is, it just doesn't feel the same. I haven't scratched a screen or broken a screen in about 7 years. I used the original ZMAX for almost two years and it didn't have a scratch on it.

Sorry to hear about your phone. Your eyes will adjust and you'll probably not even notice the scratch as you use the phone, depending on how bad it is.

You could always buy a second phone.

Yeah it's only noticeable with the phone off so it probably won't bother me much. I actually thought about that, if it ever does bother me enough to do something about it, it's only 100 for a new phone, so crazy.

It is really easy to scratch or break the glass on all phones. I use tempered glass protectors as a precaution. I like the feel of them as well. Though the glass can be replaced, it is a pain to do yourself and not worth the cost for lower end phones or someone else to do it.

Isn't that a bit too far for a tiny scratch? Why not try to get the screen replaced at least? hahahaha I burst out laughing when I read the last part of your message!
