I used Go Launcher for ages on my Desire HD, then ADW Launcher Ex till I got the One X. Now I use Apex Pro. Also used GoSMS too.
Go is good, they've got some pretty good widgets and the Go apps are pretty customisable. I'd no issues with it at all, I just fancied a change an ADW was 10p on sale.
Give their weather app a look in, it's pretty cool.

Go launcher X is a no no for me,
i used it on my S2 and it was good,
i do second to what El Presidente said earlier.
The reason why i dont like Go launcher X on HOX is that of the menu/setting button. u will notice that a black bar of about 2-3 cm will appear at the bottom reducing the size of the screen, which sucks IMO.
