GoSMS on lock screen?

I have installed GoSMS and want to replace ICS messaging app on the lock screen with GoSMS. I have read in other ICS phone forums that they have been able to go into manage apps -> messaging and disable it which allows GoSMS to put its icon on the lock screen however for me, the disable button on the manage app screen is not clickable..

Anyone know how to disable/uninstall the default messaging app on this phone?

this should solve your problem. open your phone dialer, select a contact, select send message(top right letter loooking icon) you should now have a popup screen for your default messaging app, select go sms pro. i hope this helps you and enjoy the 3vo

Just replace the messaging app on your homescreen dock with go sms. Our are you talking about the messaging pop up?

I have already done both those suggestions, neither have replaced the messaging icon on ICS's lock screen. Thx tho.

Use widget locker and do whatever and put whatever you want on your lockscreen. Can have any theme, unlock to any apps, put any widget on your lockscreen. Will solve your problem and open up a world oof customization.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you just need to replace the message app in the dock with messaging app of your choice in the home screen then you will see it in the lock screen.

I'm such a dummy... I was just about to repeat what I had said earlier when it occurred to me that I replaced the messaging app on my Apex launcher dock and not HTC's. After going back to the HTC launcher and replacing the dock icon there, it did replace the lock screen icon as well.
