I think I have a solution for this.

I have not been experiencing the spam, and I know a couple people who do not. I also have read about quite a few people who do get this spam from them.

The reason why your text blockers are not blocking the text is because the contact messaging you is from their "GO Chat." If you sign out of this and no longer use it, you shouldn't have a problem with the spam. Or if you use it, only sign in when you need it. Or try to find a way to remove/block the contact.

Let me know if this works or not, I'm just pretty sure that is how this is working at this point, not absolutely. Just trying to help out some people.

I'm not signed up to go chat, so have never 'signed in', yet I get those texts .....

What happens if you turn off the "pro" features ("running mode" in basic settings)?

I think you are by default signed-in to Go Chat whether you officially sign up for it or not. For what it is worth I haven't turned it but I still haven't received ad-message except for an occassional notification informing me of new features/updates.

Of course somebody could try something novel and contact the developer.
