Got an 8gig, should I return for a 16?

So I picked up an 8gig Nexus 7 on Saturday, and I really like it! Now I got the 8 because I really don't have a million songs or movies that are going to be stored on it. I only have about 10 apps that are downloaded from the market, and as a whole I really didn't think I would need the extra space. My Nexus will mostly be used for alot of web browsing, YouTube, and maybe some light work related stuff with using a memo app when having meetings with my staff. Everything else as far as music or photos is reserved for my Galaxy S3.

At the moment I have 5.38GB's available, do you all think with my usage pattern on what I'm going to be using this thing for, would the $50 be worth it for double the storage?

Also a side note, I will most likely be exchanging either way, whether its for an 8 or 16...I have some minor screen lifting on the left side, and would rather avoid it getting any worse and just get a new one right now.

YES YES YES!! Read this thread for starters, then check the reviews again that mention how limited 8GB will be. The only time I would choose an 8GB device is if it had expandable storage (sd card slot). Even then I would still rather have more "main memory/storage" and the external storage after that.

Based on what you're using is for you'd be fine with the 8GB of storage. If $50 is not a factor THEN go with the 16GB. In the event you decide to do more with the N7 you'll be comforted by the fact you have increased storage.

Yes, that's what you're using it for now. How about in 6 month? A year? might you find an app or two or ten that you would find cool, useful, even "can't live without it"?

Game or some to kill time? Productivity tools and utilities?

If what you're using it for now will never, and won't ever change, you could have saved even more money by getting an "internet appliance" android table with only 4GB storage, single core cpu, wifi only (no bluetooth).

If money is the factor and your use won't change, return for refund and look on newegg or tigerdirect or amazon for a different one that will do what you're doing for a lot less.

Definitely not returning...I like the form factor and just about everything about it. The real reason for maybe switching to 16 is to basically be safer rather then sorry, and because of the slight screen lifting issue that I don't want get any worse. The money is not the issue, $50 to not have anything to worry about as far as memory is more then enough a reason to go ahead and just spend it..

My tablet usage is like yours. I dont do anything intensive but the lack of external storage is one of the reaons why I went with a different device altogether. Cloud storage is nice but does me no good when WiFi is not an option.

Samsung 32GB class 10 cards were on sale when I got my tab so I picked up 2 of them. I like having my media with me.

I had similar problems with nandroid backups taking up tons of space.
If you can, and can spare the $50, I highly recommend it.
