I made the decision to get my bootloader unlocked after my official ICS dreams were dashed. The only thing I really want to do at this point is overclock my Play (R800x). I pretty sure I need a different kernel to do so. At this point I don't want to switch Roms since it seems like non of them are fully complete in regards to not missing some stock feature or another. What do I have to do exactly to achieve overclocking.? If there is a ROM that is feature complete (bluetooth audio, video recording, no 3g/wifi are a few of the things that ROMs i've been looking at were missing) I would give them a shot. If anyone can post a straightforward guide on how to flash a kernel I would really appreciate it. A lot of threads over at xda seem to be for the more super advanced user and seem to assume that I know how to do certain things and aren't very detailed for someone who doesn't do this sort of thing on a regular basis. Thanks for any input!
Oh, I am running the recently released 2.3.4 Verizon update if that makes any difference in which kernels I can and can't use.
