Got my AT&T Note 3 today

Hi all,

I picked up my white Note 3 today at the AT&T store. We all know the good parts of the phone, here are a couple negatives:
1) didn't come with earphones. WTF, on a premium device like this?!?!?
2) came in the ugly AT&T box, not the nicer fake wood one.

Home button: on the floor model, it was loose and had play, exactly like several members here have reported on their device. On my phone, knock wood, the home button is secure and hopefully stays that way. Oh, and the S-pen is wicked hard to get out.

So far though I like the phone a lot in the limited time I've had it. I'm going to switch off between the Note and my iPhone 5, no flaming please, I like tech and gadgets and I'm neither an iFan or Phandroid.

Yes my white AT&T Galaxy Note 3 is the same I have no issues with my home button. I hope overtime it doesn't become an issue also don't worry it becomes easier to remove the s pen after while -- I had that problem too.

P.s it's not a big deal that we didn't get the earphones they're very cheap also the box isn't that big of a deal either very minor but was something I was a little disappointed about at first too

Personally confused about the headphone concern, they are MUCH worse than the pairs I picked up last christmas at 2 pairs for 5 bucks. I'm hoping the jack output quality is decent since i use the jack to stream in my work truck, no bluetooth in it. So far no problems with home button or S pen sticking on the Sprint black version here.

I just did my first name & phone number using the action memo, it took a few attempts before I got it to work. For those that haven't used it yet, you have to put the contacts name in first, then the phone number WITH dashes, example John Smith 555-123-4567 then circle it and add it to your contacts. I kept doing it without the dashes and that is not liked! Anyhow, this device has a steep learning curve but there is no denying it is a powerhouse. Oh and one more annoyance, on the Note 2 you could have a news ticker on the lock screen, I don't see that option on the Note 3. Still, this is an amazing phone.

It's the principal of the situation: I never use the earbuds that came with my iPhone, but damn it they had better be in the box in case I wanted to! That pisses me off about Samsung, they give up too much control to carriers to get away with that kind of stuff.

Let it go, young padawan, let it go;)

You must not have gotten the Note 2.
AT&T didn't include them then either so continuing that tradition with the Note 3 is no surprise to those who've been there before; Unexpected by those who haven't.

Actually Scandalex I had the Note 2, and that didn't have earbuds either like you said, and that annoyed me then too! In truth though, I never use the ones that came with my iPhones(s), I hate the way any of them feel, I much prefer my over the ear Skull Candy headphones. Got them for $10 dollars at TJ Maxx of all places!

They almost always have Skull Candy at all the TJ Maxx down here in ATL, usually bright colors you couldn't misplace if you tried. They occasionally have 2x2A car chargers with Apple certifications too.

Unboxed my AT&T Galaxy Note last night. I, too, was surprised at the lack of headphones. Every cell phone I've had - starting back in 1998 - came with a set of earbuds.

Honestly I haven't received earphones in any of my Android devices since I got my first one 4-5 years ago :(
