Got Our Activation Fees Waived

+1 for AT&T customer service. I got two new Galaxy Note's on a new plan/account and I asked the rep to waive the activation fees. He said this is a standard practice that everyone has to pay when activating a new/different phone. I said very briefly that I took a big risk returning to AT&T considering my past experiences and he went ahead and clicked around a little. Not a few minutes later they were waived. I don't know if this would work for existing customers or not, but it only took a couple of minutes so I'd recommend you give it a try. That's like 60 bucks or so I saved :)
 
Or if you have been with them for years. Been with them since 1998 never ever got stuck paying for and activation fee. Also never was late on my bills neither plus a 300 a month bill I'm sure helps

if i owned a phone company and you were giving me $300 every month i wouldnt have a problem letting you slide on activation fees either.

is this a family plan? business line? media bundle?

Mainly used for business multiple phones with data unfortunately doesn't take long to add up to $300

Same for me. 5 Lines at $360+/month for my bill (personal, no work other than emails from time to time which is my choice, not required). I have not paid an activation fee in I don't know how long... and this account has been open since 2002.
