So there I sat. Just staring at my phone wondering how many more glitches in this 4.5.573 were gonna make their way to the light of day.
Not being the type to give up, I moved on to do some more research and read countless blogs about updating the droid, sbf'ing the droid, deodexing the droid, so on and so fourth.
After all this searching and reading what do I find? Everything I needed right here at the top of the everything rooted list. Of course I have seen Ro0oLeRs Wonderfully put together guide before but I hadn't a clue what I was looking at.
Being new to this world that is droid and all I had to get myself a better understanding of what the heck I was looking at.
So this afternoon I gathered my composer, threw back a shot of whiskey to calm the nerves(just kidding)and followed Ro0oLeRs guide to sbf my phone back to 2.3.340 using the RSDlite method, rebooted my phone into recovery using droid 2 bootstrap, loaded up the 3 file updates, and got stuck in bootloop.
But never fear, once again Ro0oLeRs guide saves the day. Following his instructions on getting out of bootloop worked like a charm. As did the rest of his guide for sbf'ing and getting the new 4.5.588 onto my phone.
So, what is the moral of this story kids? Read, read, and read some more. Gain an understanding of what it is you're doing to your phone before you try to do it. Then when you have a better understanding of what it is you're doing, there's nothing left to do but update your phone and be happy.
I would like to thank Ro0oLeR for his guide and everyone else on this forum for the help I have received with my droid. Keep up the good work guys.
