Its driving me insane!
I downloaded the new htc software and i go to key settings and the swype settings are there, but theres no where to switch to swype. I go to imput method and swype isnt on there.

I go to touch imputs and there qwerty, phone keypad and compact qwerty but no swype.
Its driving me insane. Maybe im just over looking it, please help!

Try going to a program that you can enter text and touch and hold the text field til an input method then select Swype from Touch Input

I did this within compose an email in Gmail..

I hope this helps

If you downloaded the HTC update and had Swype Beta installed, just uninstall Swype Beta and the Swype Installer.

Turn the phone off/on. Then go into "Select Input Method" as Adambomb13 describes.

Swype will be in the list and you can select it.

Same problem. I installed the last update from HTC for my Desire HD
I had to uninstall Swype, Swype installer, switch off the phone and restart all the installing procedure (downloading the installer etc etc).
Thank you Hoos!

Any other people with question how to activate Swype.... Go to messages > new message > press and hold screen (on "tap to compose") menu will pop up saying "input method" > select Swype.
