Help Got wifi but no internet

In my experience this is generally a problem upstream (ie, your router isn't connected to the internet, but it will still allow devices to connect to it). Do you have other devices in your home that are on the same wireless connection and can they access the internet?
 
yes i have two computers and an iPod touch all connected. when using chrome on my one x says something about DNS. I have also tried using the static ip as my isp is using a static ip, although all the other devices are using dhcp with no problem.
 
Is there some kind of limit of devices that can access your router at a given time or a bandwidth limit? If so, it may allow your phone to connect to the router, but not let it eat up the bandwidth and not allow it to connect to the internet.
