Hello all,

Does anyone know how to allow a contact call through even if the phone is silenced?

In Blackberry world they call this an "important call" and you can allow them to get through.

I use this when I travel away from home, especially when I am in a different time zone. I can go to sleep without being worried about people calling me from my home time zone and waking me up, but still be available for emergencies from home.

I really don't know, but a workaround popped up in my head as i read this. Get a totally silent ringtone and when you're ready to go night-night, change your main ringtone to the silent ringtone while leaving your wife's contact ringtone normal. If you have your phone set to "silent instead of vibrate", this should work for your situation and keep you sleepy soundly until your wife calls to nag you about the fact that you're gone and she needs "quality time"

Side note: make sure her phone vibrates when you call her ;-)
