"A fault has occurred causing a virtual CPU to enter the shutdown state. If this fault had occurred outside of a virtual machine, it would have caused the physical machine to restart. The shutdown state can be reached by incorrectly configuring the virtual machine, a bug in the guest operating system, or a problem in VMware Player.Click OK to restart the virtual machine or Cancel to power off the virtual machine."
..........SO I AM STUCK........ANYONE WANNA HELP ME OUT:smokingsomb:

VMPlayer can really only "play" VMs that were already made by someone else who bought and used VMware to make a VM.

Try using Virtualbox. It does much the same thing as VMware, but its free, and you can make your own VMs to use with it.

+1 for VirtualBox. It takes what...20 minutes to setup for the first time? (Need to install the OS in a virtual drive.)

I use it religiously, and its awesome.

It walks you through it step by step as you do it. Its a very user friendly program.
