With the past two updates to Google Maps (6.7 & 6.8) I havent been able to lock in on my location. Other GPS apps lock in fine. A search yielded me results showing other Atrix (and a few Razr) users having this same issue. Unistalling the updates to Google Maps and reverting it back to 5.8 solves the issue. I was curious if this issue is widespread over the Atrix community or only select phones have the issue. I am stock running 2.3.6.

I have no idea if it is a known issue with this phone, but I am glad to hear that reverting back to the previous version of Google maps worked for you.

Nope, I haven't had any problems locking in on location. But, I will say that the maps of the streets are off some where I live. Lake Shore Dr. here in Chicago, goes into the water at certain points, when using traffic mode.

After reading this I checked Google maps on my phone. Its updated to the latest version and not giving any problems locating
Thanks for the replies guys. So now that we know that this is not widespread, can I safely assume that Google Maps is conflicting with another app I have on my phone? I will probably start deleting other apps one by one and see if I can find the culprit. Then if that doesn't maybe a factory reset? Or do you think it's possible that my problem is from a factory reset I did less than a month ago? Or do you guys think I should just step on up, start reading thru the "all things root" forums and start experimenting with different ROM's?

Running Google Maps 6.8.1 and Android 2.3.6 on my Atrix4G and all is working fine here.
