GPS built in navigation system

Samsung Galaxy Fascinate - relatively new user. I love it. The built in GPS navigation system does not seem to have a waypoint marking function. Am I missing it or is there an add-on that will perform this function.

Since the GPS function is not primary on Android functions some functions simply are not implemented. To get waypoints I'd suggest checking out some apps in the Android Market...
