Help GPS calibration help.

I used to use my LG Motion for Strava bike rides, it worked brilliantly. F3 however can not get a good gps calibration. I tried GPS toolbox and calibration without any success. It gives me completely inaccurate distance and speed. Does anyone have any solution for that. I have MetroPCS/Tmobile version of the phone.
 
While in an app utilizing gps and outside, hold phone overhead and wave around in a figure 8 pattern 8 to 10 times. This is supposed to calibrate gps.

May seem silly but I've heard it works
