I would like to have my Bionic automatically change some settings based on my geographical location AND/OR based on situational conditions. One example of the former would be that I want it to turn off 4G/LTE and use 3G/CDMA-only when I am at home or at work (both of which always have good WiFi connections). An example of the latter might be to simply have it automatically toggle between 4G/LTE and 3G/CDMA based on the availability of connected WiFi network. Is there an app that can do this for me?
I tried 'Network Switcher' from the Market, and at first, it seemed cool, but it didn't actually work. Well, it worked once on my 'work' end, but not on the 'home' end. i.e. I created one rule that had two conditions. Each condition was a location (one work and one home). I set it up to turn the WiFi connection ON when it is in either of these two locations, and to return to 'Default mode' (whatever I have that set for....which is mobile/cellular network with WiFi off) when not in either location. When I left work yesterday, it seemed to notice, and automatically turned off the WiFi and reconnected the mobile/cellular network. However, it did not turn WiFi back on when I got home.....ever. So, a couple hours after getting home, I turned on WiFi manually.
Is there a tool like this that actually works consistently on the Bionic yet, or are they all just working out these kinds of issues?
