GPS Locator w/o SMS

I'm looking for a locator app that doesn't use sms.

I like how Lookout works, but really need it to NOT use sms. I use prepaid, and using sms costs a lot more than the raw data would. Plus, it pops up a notification saying how much the last transaction cost (so, it'll rack up a big bill during testing, and would alert any would-be thief that the phone's up to something).

I don't need it to constantly send out it's location. Ideally it would wait for a push notification (special email to a dedicated address, perhaps?), enable gps, get a fix, then send a message with current coordinates.

Seekdroid is a security program that doesn't use SMS. Of course, you must have DATA on for it to connect to the phone.

I had just found that program, seems to fit the bill exactly.

Also, while it won't help with the bill during testing...AT&T does let you disable the balance notifications. Login to your account, and make sure End of Call Notification is set to Off.

My current plan is to use Seek Droid (hidden best as I can) as a first line of defense. I think I'll install TheftAware as well; no internet functionality yet, but it would survive a factory reset. I figure this way, if someone just grabs it to make a bunch of calls ASAP, they'll keep my sim in there (and I'll access it using data). If they're smart and do a complete wipe before putting in a new sim...then TheftAware will still work (and at that point I wouldn't care how much the sms messages cost, though if they use prepaid they'll probably get constant messages about $0.20 being deducted from their account).
