Help GPS not connecting

matte

Lurker
Hi all. I am new to the forums, but was looking for a bit of help. I have been reading up on the hidden menus and trying to get my gps on my fascinate to connect better. The problem is when I input the *#1472356# code, I get a menu asking me what I want to launch with(a list of apps). Nowhere in any tutorials I've read does this come up. Is there something I am missing? I appreciate in advance for any help!

Last time I checked, hidden menus does not work with gingerbread.

What is wrong with the GPS? It's pretty well known to take up to 30sec to 10min on Fascinate. (depends on the area)

my phone went a whole weekend without connecting unfortunately. I can still gauge it off a map...but pretty lame overall. Hidden menus do work on gingerbread (at least most have so far). The problem I have with the afformentioned one, it accepts the numbers fine, but rather than a menu popping up, I get a list of apps as if its trying to find the appropriate app to open the menu. It says "complete action using:"...then a scrollable list of apps and an option to make it default. Nowhere in the list is anything GPS related. Hence my post here. Maybe theres a different number I can use somewhere.

And what I mean by not connecting...when I use a nav program, it spends its time trying to connect to gps. I still see my position within about a 10 block circle. And this was both travelling on the highway as well as walking around north chicago.

I haven't been able to get hidden menus to work on GB on my phone. Just curious, could you let me know what input sequence you enter to even get to where you are? I'm wondering if it is something different from what I have been doing.
