Help GPS not working

hi.. I just got my samsung galaxy s few days ago. Am staying in Singapore, and I encounter the GPS/map is not working at all.... even I have ugraded the maps application.

When i try to find my location, it always come up with "your current location is temporary unavailable"... is anyone can advice?

honestly I feel disapointed to get this phone, which i feel iphone is still much better !!

The version of google maps/ navigator is not really important. The GPS issues have to do with the firmware of the phone. It is mostly fixed in the latest firmware, froyo 2.2.1.

I would recommend you check KIES for upgrades

Did you turn gps off by mistake? also, did you try restarting your phone.

yes i did on my gps..

guess i have to upgrade my firmware first.. let me try and see if it will work.

are u using samsung galaxy s now?? i understand the firmware is expandable to 2.2 .. so guess it will be automaticacaly upgrade to 2.2.1 ??
