My Evo's gps has always worked fantastic! Never had a problem with it

The GPS on my HTC Desire Z is excelent.
From what I have researched, the Galaxy S (from a year ago) has a rather poor GPS. I was about to get it last year until I found out about the GPS issues. There was supposed to be a fix for it that came out late last year. A colleague of mine has a Galaxy S and he is not very satisfied with it.
