Help GPS problem

I recently installed 2.2 to my Samsung Galaxy S. I noticed the GPS apps are not working and the compass it not showing the directions properly. Anything I can do to fix it?

Probably not. Mine has never worked properly since 2.1.

GPS works much better with 2.2.1. So an update through ODIN should fix your problem....

If your GPS on 2.2.1 is worse than it had been on 2.1 you should try another Modem. XXJPY, XXJPB and XXJPG should bring a good GPS performance. You can download them here. You need to flash them via Clockworkmode.

I have long given up trying to use the GPS on my phone. Even when it does work, it take ages to lock on.

I am in the market for a bluetooth GPS instead.

mine locks on within 5 seconds.
It is totally inaccurate though
